Pregnancy Journal

I just found out that a good friend of mine is pregnant with her first child. She & her husband are thrilled, so I decided to make a pregnancy journal for her. The funny thing is, I received an envelope from her on Saturday, there was nothing inside ... I guess in her excitement, she forgot to put the pregnancy announcement in there ... too funny. Hopefully she didn't mail any others that way. Anyway, I hope she likes it.

I made dividers based on a similar journal that Beth Silaika made last year for a friend that can be seen here.

Supplies: Swell News from Stampin Up, Patterned Paper is Key Lime Pie from Fancy Pants, also used Regal Rose, Bashful Blue and Green Galore cardstock for the matting and the divider tabs inside, Styled Silver Hodge Podge Hardware, and misc. coordinating ribbon.

Sweet as can be, but Challenging

This is my first card challenge. It's Cupcake Challenge 9 from Taylor's blog.

And challenging it was, but a lot of fun. The most challenging part for me was getting all of the elements on the card perfectly because I am not a very precise stamper. I tend to eyeball things. But this was a great way for me to practice being more precise. Plus I still struggle to capture what the card looks like in real life, but practice makes perfect. The images are up on dimensionals and so is the scallop with the sentiment, but they look flat in my picture.

Supplies: Lockhart cupcake image, Just Johanna sentiment. Aqua Mist cardstock from Papertrey, patterned paper by Papertrey for the cupcake wrappers and the polka dot paper is Chatterbox, twill ribbon is from Papertrey, Doodlebug bling.

Finally back to blogging, peeps

Right after I created my blog, my mom got seriously ill. Thankfully 5 months and 3 surgeries later, she's doing much better. So, I'm finally in a position to post on my blog, and I thought I'd share a 12 x 12 layout I did earlier this month with my hostess club. Title was inspired by a line of papers from Imaginisce.

Supplies: A Good Egg set and wheel by Stampin Up. Colors: Barely Banana, Almost Amethyst, Whisper white, Lavendar Lace, Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, So Saffron ink for the wheeled portion.
